Painting description

Painting Description: "Memory of the Future" is a painting about the coexistence of two orders: organic and technological. Joanna Szumska does not place them in conflict with each other, but presents them as two parallel dimensions of the same identity. Two female figures—one with android features, the other rooted in the natural world—are depicted side by side, facing the same direction. This arrangement suggests not division, but continuity and a shared horizon. The composition is based on a clear formal and symbolic contrast. On the left, a futuristic figure appears: cool, precise, constructed from mechanical details, metal, and a hidden "code." On the right, a human figure, soft and sensual, surrounded by leaves, flowers, and warm light. Both are united by a harmony of color: deep blue, gold, white, and red tones create an elegant, calm palette, full of inner tension.
