Hidden Rhythm
Mixed media, 80 × 60 cm
Piano Bar series
"Hidden Rhythm" is a painting built on the tension between figuration and geometric order. The female figure, shown in profile, is introduced into a structure of verticals, arcs, rectangles, and rounded forms that create their own, almost musical organization of space.
The rhythm is not literal here. There is no instrument, musical notation, or musical scene. It is hidden in repetitions, pauses, shifts, and color relationships. Geometric elements act as visual beats, and the woman's silhouette becomes one of the motifs of a larger compositional score.
The calm profile, lowered gaze, and soft facial modeling contrast with the rigor of the background. This allows the painting to combine the intimacy of a portrait with the cool discipline of abstraction. Muted navy blues, browns, grays, blacks, and beiges create an atmosphere of concentration, elegance, and inner peace.
"Hidden Rhythm" can be read as a metaphor for emotions that don't always reveal themselves directly. Sometimes they exist beneath the surface—like music we don't hear, yet whose presence structures the entire experience.
