Ryszard Tyszkiewicz, The birth of birds, Oil painting - canvas, 90 x 61

« previous painting next painting »

Painting description

A bright, golden circle suspended above the flute immediately captures attention and defines the axis of the entire composition. Around it flows a swirl of cool blues, purples, and muted pinks, from which emerge two figures and the dark silhouettes of birds crossing the space between them. One figure remains heavier, focused, the other almost dissolves in light and movement. The paint is applied broadly, in places thickly, with visible texture and subtle flashes of bright impasto, enhancing the impression of air oscillation. The whole can be interpreted as a scene suspended between dream and music, well-suited to a tranquil interior based on subdued, cool tones.
