Painting description

The painting depicts a dense, dark green forest, seemingly closing in on the scene with a heavy canopy of branches. A milky, warm light gleams within, spilling between the slender trunks and creating an almost theatrical composition. In this glow, tiny figures of children and ethereal silhouettes are visible, while more disturbing figures, a bit fairytale, a bit ghostly, lurk at the sides. It's a dreamlike forest. The brushstrokes are free, expressive, and in places rough, as if the artist was feeling rather than describing. The whole thing has an air of mystery and a slight sense of unease, but also of delight. I wouldn't go there, seriously. This contrast of light and darkness does the trick, arousing childlike curiosity, fear, and perhaps even nostalgia for the world of imagination.
