Painting description

The painting depicts a mysterious forest shrouded in mist with delicate, pastel hues. Green and brown dominate, and the trees look as if they were painted with a brush full of emotion. In the foreground we see a red-haired girl sitting at the edge of a cliff. Opposite her stands a white goat on another rock. The composition is dynamic, with a pronounced contrast between light and shadow. The atmosphere of the painting is both calm and slightly unsettling, emanating the silence of nature and the mystery of the forest. The artist used the impasto technique, giving the painting texture and expressiveness, which adds depth. The brushstrokes are spontaneous, as if the artist had captured a fleeting moment. We may feel that the painting is like a dream or a fairy tale—it creates a sense of otherworldliness. Wow, that girl is sitting high up, and the goat looks very brave! The work leaves us with questions about the connections between the figures, lending the painting a magical aura. One could add that it is some kind of magical “meeting” of nature and humankind.
