Painting description

The painting depicts a startling scene in which four figures stand at the center against a black background. On the left stands an elderly man with a stern expression, dressed in a leather jacket and a flat cap, holding a brown briefcase. The colors are muted, and the details of his face are well defined. Next to him stands a little girl in a pink skirt with a grim expression. Behind them, a skeletal figure seems to place a hand on the man’s shoulder, protectively yet mysteriously. From behind the skull emerges a jet-black substance resembling a veil. The youngest child is wearing a white dress and colorful knee-high socks. One can’t help but ask: “What are they doing?” The atmosphere is heavy, full of restless tension, yet strangely captivating. The artist’s treatment is almost surreal, reminiscent of a style on the border between realism and abstraction. My impression? The painting prompts reflection on the inevitability of time (time cannot be stopped) and the fragility of life. When I look at it, I feel an inexplicable mix of curiosity and slight unease. It is like a story without words that everyone interprets in their own way.
