Stretcher frames are decidedly too small to contain the magic of the City of Łozowsko Wielkie. This palette-city spills far beyond the edges of the canvas, tempts the imagination, and plays at riddles. Just listen to how it whispers, sings, giggles... The air, aglow with guardian Sprites, is as light as they are. In streets bubbling with frolicsome colors, will-o’-the-wisps play hide-and-seek, Odd-Birds chat with the moon, and the sighs of the Poppy Ladies mingle with innocent little lies perched on the long nose of a wooden boy. It’s hard to tell whether night exists here, for even the purples, hung above the rooftops by an artist’s brush, are but the faintest herald of a sensuous dusk. This is a Fairytale Realm. A land of promises, temptations, but also secrets sealed within houses dozing in half-smiles. Houses—yet not houses—live, breathe... In a waking half-dream, they dream Łozowsko Wielkie.
