Stretcher frames are decidedly too small to contain the magic of the City of Łozowsko Wielkie. It’s a palette-city, spilling far beyond the edges of the canvas, luring the imagination and playing at riddles. Just listen to how it whispers, sings, giggles... The air, aglow with guardian Sprites, is as feather-light as they are. In streets bubbling with boisterous colors, will-o’-the-wisps play hide-and-seek, Oddbirds chat with the moon, and the sighs of Poppy Ladies mingle with innocent little lies perched on the long nose of a wooden boy. One can’t tell whether night even exists here, for even the purples, hung over the rooftops by the artist’s brush, are merely a hint of a sensuous dusk. This is a Fairy-tale Realm. A realm of promises, temptations, and also secrets sealed within drowsing, half-smiling houses. Houses—yet not houses—live, breathe... In a waking half-dream, they dream Łozowsko Wielkie.
