Painting description

A cycle of paintings depicting my town, Łozowsko Wielkie. The works present a city born in the imagination and constantly evolving. New tenement houses with the faces of mysterious people are being built; bridges for those seeking their way; beautiful ladies amid flowers; and windows—windows that watch, windows that are the eyes of the city. The first works are The Sun King, Flower Ladies, City Cats, Autumn in Łozowsko Wielkie. One day I saw this city; a few windows with faces appeared, or perhaps the faces were windows... Something was veiling them; the only things clearly visible were the imprudent towers. They gazed softly in my direction—one seemed particularly imprudent—or perhaps I had been dreaming all along...
