Painting description

A cycle of paintings depicting my town, Łozowsko Wielkie. The works present a city that arose in my imagination and is continuously evolving. New townhouses with the faces of mysterious people are going up, bridges for those seeking their way, beautiful ladies in flowers, and windows—windows that watch and serve as the city’s eyes. The first works include The Sun King, The Flower Ladies, The City Cats, and Autumn in Łozowsko Wielkie. One day I saw this city; a few windows with faces appeared—or perhaps the faces were windows… Something was veiling them; only the imprudent towers were clearly visible. They gazed gently in my direction; one seemed especially imprudent—or perhaps I had been dreaming all along…
