Painting description

A dark, stifling atmosphere dominates the painting. The colors are muted, and the dominant brown and dark shades make the space feel tight and claustrophobic. At the center of attention is the figure of a hunched man sitting in the shadows, his gleaming eyes turned toward the bright window.
