Painting description

The painting is a veritable explosion of color and emotion. Warm shades of red and orange dominate, blending with cool blues and grays to create a dynamic composition. The central figure of a woman is occupied – a double, inverted portrait, reminiscent of a playing card. Her hands seem to dance in the air. Her face, though calm, exudes deep thought. The remaining elements of the painting form an almost abstract mosaic. At first glance, chaos appears, but after a moment, they begin to form comprehensible patterns. An artistic mix and match. The style of the work is expressive, with distinct strokes of crayon, with shapes occasionally dissolving and elongating. The atmosphere of this painting is simultaneously intense and reflective. It can evoke feelings of anxiety in the viewer, but also curiosity. It evokes moments of contemplation, when we try to understand something complex. The pastel technique and dynamic hand movements suggest the artist's experimentation with movement and emotion. There's a certain rawness, even sloppiness, that adds to the painting's authenticity. When I look at this painting, I think the artist wants us to feel the chaos of our thoughts. Or maybe this is the moment when everything fits together? A child would say, "There are so many hands and colors here!" This is art that invites dialogue, perhaps even compels introspection. Wow, this painting truly gives us food for thought. This work received an honorable mention at the 6th International Pastel Biennial in Nowy Sącz in 2013.
