Painting description

The painting presents a surreal scene that immediately catches the eye. Delicate beiges and greens dominate, creating a background with a satin texture, on which a strange feast is taking place. Two figures, with forms reminiscent of fanciful sculptures, raise their long necks upwards. These shapes are irregular, and their plump bodies bring to mind something organic, perhaps even unearthly. On the table covered with a checkered tablecloth, there is a bottle of a clear drink, perhaps vodka, and several glasses and a piece of bread. The atmosphere of the painting is both disturbing and intriguing. The mood is surreal, a bit like from another world. Looking at the whole, one may get the impression that it is a scene from a surrealist dream, or maybe even a nightmare. The technique used here brings to mind classic oil painting, where every detail is meticulously rendered with precision worthy of a master. The painting is able to draw the viewer into its extraordinary world. For some, it may be a reflection on loneliness, and for others – a disturbing vision of a meeting of two unknown beings. My first association is "weird dinner party". A child would say: these strange people have a funny dinner. Despite everything, the image attracts, forces you to think about what it really is – art or a dream. It creates space for emotions, personal interpretations and reflections on the nature of man and his relationship with the environment.
