Procession of the sacrament - a composition painted in the open air in the city of Krakow, Poland in the style of impressionism, with elements of symbolism, and the main theme is the modern celebration of the Catholic Feast of Corpus Christi. It is one of the most important days in the calendar of the Catholic Church. The Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ falls on the 60th day after Easter, according to the Gregorian calendar - on a Thursday between May 21 and June 24. Although the celebration has a distinct religious character, it contains many elements of so-called folk piety. This holiday was celebrated for the first time in 1246 and has a long history. The main plot center of the picture is the hundred-year-old Neo-Gothic church of St. Joseph and the "Rynek Podgórski" square.
