Robert Harris was born at southampton, England in 1952 and still resides nearby.

Robert was interested in art, drawing and painting from an early age and started painting in oil and acrylic in 1982.

The main influence in the early days was Pre-Raphaelite art with its attention to detail which can be seen in a lot of my work.

Other influences are the landscape of southern England.
