I\'m a self thaught painter. I live and work in UK.\r\n\r\nMy painting?\r\nAt the beginning there is a thought. Always. \r\nIt\'s a moving vision, a vague idea of a painting I\\\'d like to paint, triggered by a situation, music, poem, basically anything. When the vision disappears only the yearning stays and a painter with a bunch of brushes and few tubes of oil colour.\r\nI can\'t pin one definite subject I\\\'m interested in and inspired by. There are a few areas of thought that are pervading me. \r\nHumanity is one of them for sure. Its complexity of being and its many emotional states imbues me.\r\n\r\nMy heroes can overcome their phobias and fears, staying calm when surrounded by demons. They look from the internal world of the painting and question viewers about their demons. Sometimes the painted heroes, on the contrary, are weak, irritated and annoyed; their reactions are whimsical and they give vent to aggression. They become miserable and ridiculous. They suffer.\r\n\r\nQuite often I paint to satisfy my sense of humour and Igarnish it with malice and the grotesque. It might be a way of cleansing or an escape.\r\n\r\nImagination is the key to my painting. Playing with it. \r\nI like those travels of the mind twhich ake me to the place where I can understand more of the world and more of myself. \r\n\r\nI hope that my artwork will be a kind of journey for you.
