Michael Kokin

Michael Kokin (1921 - 2009) - Ukrainian painter. He was born in Dnepropetrovsk. In 1941 graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Art College (teachers M.Panin, M.Pogrebnyak). He studied in Kiev Art Institute V.Kostetskogo. Member of various exhibitions since 1947. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine  (1958), in 1976 - Honored artist of Ukraine, and in 2001 - People's Artist of Ukraine. The works are in the Dnepropetrovsk Art Museumm, in the Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum of the D. Yavornitsky; art museums of Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kamenetz-Podolsk, Kakhovka;  Museum conservation area Shevchenko in Kanev and others; in private collections in many countries (France, Spain, Canada, USA, etc.).
