The human being, with his dual nature – sensual and spiritual, is my biggest inspiration and focus.

Through figurative art I transfer elemental content of human existence that people, in a natural way, may come to read, even without knowing the code and cultural context, which is often necessary to read abstract art.

The human form is like a temple; a sphere of sacrum, which encompassed the richness of emotions and experiences. These states of mind are sources of exploration for me to seek those binding qualities that make us human. Sculpture is a way for me to convert intangible feelings into three-dimensional forms.

I am fascinated by the richness of human interior life and the ways we express feelings outside of language. Trying to sculpt or paint an intangible emotion or human experience has become my biggest challenge.

Some of these emotions, as part of our existence, include pain, suffering, longing. Moments of happiness and excitement mix with those of anxiety and pain, thus forming us as humans. In the same way I form my clay. Inner torments, limitations, incompleteness are reflected in physical forms, which are often cracked, hollow, and incomplete. My works are evidence of a search for the means of expression that split the self into a dilemma of human experience.

Face expressions, gestures, serve as references for form. My works become ‘a meeting place’ – a meeting with the inner and exterior selves, while at the same time opening up a meeting space with another’s essence.

My main intention is to create such sculptures and paintings that will speak for themselves with their form and power of expression. My challenge is to make accurate references to universal values shared by humanity. Despite cultural differences there are more similarities between people, concrete values are rooted deeply in our souls – love, compassion, sense of beauty, need for reflection. These values I seek in art.

Wcześniej otrzymała stopień Magistra Filologii Angielskiej w Instytucie Lingwistyki Stosowanej - Uniwersytet Warszawski (2009); stopień Licencjata Filologii w Kolegium Kształcenia Nauczycieli Języka Angielskiego -Uniwersytet Warszawski (2006);  stopień Magistra Sztuk Pięknych na Wydziale Rzeźby - Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie (2012); stypendium Erasmus na Wydziale Rzeźby - Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Rzymie (2009/2010). Wystawiała swoje prace w Polsce, Włoszech i USA.
Jej obrazy i rzeźby krążą wokół tematu człowieka i jego wewnętrznych emocji, przeżyć, psychiki.  Najczęściej zajmuje się portretem, ludzką twarzą. Łączy elementy realizmu z ekspresyjnym, emocjonalnym dążeniem do siły przekazu.

To me, the act of painting is...

Pasją, misją, miłością, spełnieniem, nieustannym rozwojem, rozmarzeniem

What was the first painting that you sold?

Czy liczy się czas liceum, portret dla cioci która zawsze we mnie wierzyła i jako pierwsza go kupiła żebym nigdy się nie poddawała?

I’m inspired by...

Drugi człowiek, sposób w jaki wyraża emocje niewerbalnie. Wzruszająca Muzyka. Natura i jej piękno.

What's your favorite sentence?

"“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” - "Sztuka zmywa z duszy pył codziennego życia." (Pablo Picasso).

When was the last time you got a nice surprise?

Kiedy mój profil w TouchofArt został opublikowany w kategorii "Rozchwytywani" - Pieknie dziękuję!

A party is no good without...

Muzyki!

I wish I had more...

miejsca w pracowni :)

Do you like nights?

Taak, sprzyjają rozmyślaniom i wyciszeniu. Działać za to wole w dzień, przy świetle dziennym.

I love it when...

Jakis mój obraz wzbudza czyjeś wzruszenie...

A cat or a dog?

Pies. Piesiunio. Kocham Piesiunie.

If you could no longer paint, then...

więcej bym rzeźbiła :)

My favorite dish:

krewetki

Bach, Elvis or Madonna?

Bach

If I could live forever, I would like to be...

jako ktoś kto kocha i jest kochany
