Art deco is the dominant art field in the 1920s and 1930s. This style was present in painting and architecture, as well as in industrial and functional design, especially in everyday objects. The art of this trend drew from the everyday world, the social and industrial situation of the time. It was supposed to be for a man and close to him, without an unnecessary interpretative or ideological envelope. She strived for clarity of communication and a synthetic approach to forms. Frequent motifs painted by artists in this field were, among others modern machines, cars and planes, as well as scenes from dances and meetings. In Poland, art deco painting had a more individual, local character. He often referred to folk art and regionalism, using native patterns, ornaments and stylistics. It can be concluded that the end of art deco came with time after World War II, which completely redefined the current perception of the world. A new order and social mood came, so different from the joyful, lively art and lifestyle of the interwar period.
