The Artists about herself / himself:I am an enthusiast of art in every form of it. Therefore, I have devoted myself to study Art History. I come from Poland but have been living and studying in England for the last few years. I have also spent a few months in Italy. Currently, I have settled in Antwerp, Belgium. My aim is to bring art in particular, and culture in general, closer to the people. Moreover, I am highly interested in intercultural dialogue (e.g. a large part of my final-year Dissertation was devoted to cultural relationship between the West and the East, on the example of Venice). Even though I have chosen Art History as my main career path, my involvement in art is not only theoretical, but also practical. I am a painter, and my paintings reflect my interest in the East and its contacts with the West. Again and for this reason, a part of my work as a painter is devoted to Venice. Besides, cityscapes reflect my affection for architecture, and are special memoirs of my travels. Recently, geometric patterns, often found adorning the walls of Oriental palaces and temples, have caught my attention, and in particular those found in Persian Miniature paintings. However, though aesthetics are highly important, through my paintings I try to find a way to communicate with the viewer on the intellectual level. Painting is a tool in the hands of the Artist, which allows them to draw attention to important matters. The Artist is also a Philosopher, who questions Existence using much more appealing and basic language.
